A space to slow down, unwind,
and come home to your body.

Drawing on the flowing traditions of KaHuna Bodywork and Lomi Lomi, Rest & Restore sessions are designed for those who need to pause. Whether you are carrying stress, exhaustion, tension, or simply the weight of a busy life, this is an invitation to put it down, even just for a while.

These sessions work with the nervous system as much as the body. Through rhythmic, continuous movement and warm oil, the body is gently invited to let go of its holding patterns, settle into safety, and rest.

You do not need to prepare anything, perform anything, or explain yourself. You only need to arrive.

KaHuna Bodywork

Traditional Hawaiian bodywork honouring lineage, flow and holistic wellbeing.

KaHuna Bodywork draws on traditional Hawaiian bodywork practices, characterised by long, flowing strokes using the forearms and hands. The movements are continuous and wave-like, working both over and beneath the body to support a sense of connection and flow.

Each session is tailored to you, allowing the work to unfold in alignment with what is present on the day. Rather than targeting isolated areas, KaHuna honours the whole body, supporting embodiment, emotional release, presence and deep nervous system regulation.

Many people describe feeling lighter, more settled, and deeply at home in themselves after a KaHuna session.

Lomi Lomi Massage

A nurturing Hawaiian-inspired massage for relaxation, restoration and wellbeing.

Lomi Lomi is a gentle, nourishing practice rooted in the Hawaiian tradition of caring for the whole person. Using warm oil and long, flowing movements, Lomi Lomi supports the body in releasing tension and the nervous system in settling into ease.

This is a deeply supportive experience, ideal for those who want to feel cared for, restored, and gently reconnected with their body without intensity or depth.

Lomi Lomi supports stress reduction, nervous system regulation, relaxation, and a gentle return to body connection.

Rest & Restore sessions draw on a range of approaches,
tailored to what your body needs on the day.

This offering is provided with professional modesty draping throughout, and does not include intimate massage or intimate touch.

How a session unfolds.

Each session begins with a gentle arrival into the space, an opportunity to share your intentions, how you are feeling, and anything you would like me to hold with care. There is never any rush to begin.

Your practitioner steps out while you undress and settle comfortably on the table, covered by a sarong. Privacy and modesty are held with care throughout.

Using warm coconut oil, the session unfolds through long, flowing strokes with the hands and forearms, continuous and wave-like, moving rhythmically across the whole body. The work is responsive and intuitive, adapting in pressure, pace and depth to what feels right on the day. You may be gently invited to reposition, or a supported turning technique may be used so this can happen without any effort from you. At times your body may be gently lifted, held, or guided around the table as part of the natural flow of the work.

The session generally closes with a grounding hot towel ritual. Your practitioner steps out while you dress. When you are ready, there is a moment to reflect, share, or simply sit before returning gently to your day.

The work often continues to integrate quietly after you leave. Drink plenty of water and allow yourself to rest if you need to.

A note on scope.

Rest & Restore is a therapeutic bodywork practice. It does not diagnose or treat medical conditions and is not a substitute for healthcare. Please mention any injuries, recent surgeries, or health considerations when booking.

Pleasure can arise naturally within a deeply relaxed body, and is one of many sensations that are welcomed and honoured in this space. If you are seeking a session where sensation, presence and pleasure are more consciously held and explored, the Devotional Ritual may be a beautiful next step.

Frequently asked questions.

About KaHuna & Lomi Lomi

How is KaHuna different from a regular massage?

KaHuna Bodywork is a holistic practice inspired by the rhythm and movement of the ocean. Rather than working on isolated areas, the work moves continuously and intuitively over the whole body using long, flowing strokes with the hands and forearms. Many people describe it as unlike any massage they have experienced before, deeply settling, physically and emotionally.

Is it firm or gentle?

The pressure and pace adapt throughout the session, moving between light, nurturing touch and deeper, more grounding work, guided by what feels right for you on the day. We like to incorporate massage based on the five elements of earth, fire, water, air and spirit.

What can I expect? How will I feel afterwards?

Sessions are personalised and responsive. Most clients depart feeling deeply relaxed, lighter, and more grounded, though each experience is unique based on that day's needs.

Are sessions identical each time?

No two sessions are the same, as variations in pressure, speed, rhythm, and stillness depend on what serves you in the moment. Feel free to ask for what you want more or less of.

Is KaHuna the same as tantric massage?

No. While embodied and sensory, it is not a tantric or sexual service and maintains therapeutic boundaries. If you are looking for a tantric or more intimate session, please look at our Devotional, Sacred or Embodied Learning offerings.

Comfort & Safety

I haven't had a massage in a long time and feel unsure about touch.

You are not alone in this. Not that many years ago, this was me. I know what it is to need to feel safe before you can receive. That is exactly what this space is designed to offer. We go at your pace, entirely. There is no pressure to receive anything that doesn't feel right for you, and you remain in control of the session throughout.

What medical information should I disclose?

Please inform your practitioner of any medical conditions, injuries, recent surgeries, pregnancy, or medications when booking. This allows the session to be adapted appropriately and safely for you.

Is KaHuna suitable during pregnancy?

The massage table includes a pregnancy feature that allows face-down positioning while feeling fully supported.

Preparing for Your Session

How should I prepare?

Stay hydrated, eat lightly 1-2 hours beforehand, wear loose comfortable clothing, and arrive clean. Allow yourself a little extra time so you don't feel rushed arriving.

What do I wear during the session?

KaHuna and Lomi Lomi are typically received unclothed, to allow for the full, flowing movements of the work. You are always respectfully draped with a sarong for privacy and modesty throughout. Wearing underwear is optional, however please note this will change the flowing feeling of the session as we massage your side body.

Will I be completely uncovered?

No. You will never be completely uncovered. Your private areas will always be covered with appropriate draping. If you are looking for a session where draping is optional, please look at our Sacred offerings.

What oils are used?

MCT coconut oil is used throughout, along with Shemana crystal-infused ritual sprays and complementary oils depending on your needs and intentions. Please let me know of any allergies or sensitivities when booking.

After Your Session

What aftercare is recommended?

Dedicate some time for rest and reflection after your session to allow the benefits to unfold. Make sure you drink plenty of water to help flush your system. The work often continues to integrate quietly in the hours and days that follow.

How often should I book?

Sessions can be a one-off experience or part of regular self-care. Many clients find monthly sessions support an ongoing sense of balance, grounding, and embodied wellbeing. There is no obligation to commit to a schedule, come as feels right for you.
